Transition elementsTransition elements

Transition elements, or metals, are exceedingly important as well as intriguing. They are distinguished from other elements in the periodic table, and gain their name as a consequence of this fact, due to their ownership of an incomplete number of electrons in an inner shell, unlike other elements which only have an incomplete number of electrons in their outer shell inner meaning that there are valent electrons in electron shells other than the outer shell. Ultimately, this means that transition metals may form several different ions and its de-orbitals are not full of electrons when it forms ions. okay okay
