Promoting early childhood development is a focus the government has recently invested in; programs and policy are starting to push upon this. Propositions of a new federal task force that utilizes the collection of evidence to regulate parenting amongst children has been proposed. Transitioning the country out of poverty starts with the youth, and most of the policies that have already been created are surrounding the youth; such as expanding community efforts for based mentoring programs. Increasing opportunities for summer employment among the low-income youth is framework that is beginning to be developed to accommodate the growing number of youth that are born into poverty. Access to higher education and the barriers that surround most are policy issues that are steadily being addressed; in places such as Maryland remedies within the federal government come in the form of grants because of need. For example, the state government issues grant for people coming from poverty ridden backgrounds; those who would not be able to attend college otherwise with an “expected family contribution of 000000” are automatically eligible
