Physical fitness is one of the most important keys to a healthy body. Physical fitness means the condition of being physically healthy and mentally healthy. Physical fitness is not just stretching your body to its limits, it’s eating right and getting enough sleep. It’s also having overall muscular endurance and (50) strength, a strong immune system also is important to physical fitness. Keeping your mind strong, healthy and alert is a key part of fitness as well, doing things such as crosswords puzzles, reading, daily devotions, and math helps keep your mind alert and ready for any task. Having a healthy (100) mind is just as important as keeping a healthy body. Walking and running helps stretch and strengthen the quadriceps, hamstrings, gluteals, hip flexors, abs, calves, tibialis anterior and the poroneals.
Physical fitness used to be mainly for military or for more strenuous jobs that were more physically demanding, but as (150) fitness began to gain popularity with most people, peoples life span began to get longer and longer. The importance of physical fitness in most people’s lives has led to gym’s and fitness center’s being more easily accessible and national parks have seen a major spike in hikers. Now there are (200) also people whom have busy lives or are just generally lazy and either do not have time for working out or do not have the initiative to do so. Obesity and other health related problems have also seen a rise in numbers over the year due to unhealthy eating habits (250) and physical inactivity.
At least half of today’s generation do not engage in activities that promote long-term health, which leads to heart conditions and physical handicaps. Doing things such as, running, walking, lifting weights, bike riding, hiking, stretches and playing physical sorts like football and soccer can highly reduce the (300) risks of heart attacks, diabetes and strokes. Not only does physical fitness have major physical and mental benefits, you will be more likely to be hired for almost any job you come across.
Playing sports can also keep both your mind and body fit. Sports such as basketball, football, soccer (350) and baseball use pretty much every muscle in your body, it also keeps you mind sharp because of the high paced decision making involved in such sports. Keeping a healthy mind and body has numerous benefits to one’s life and it is key to living a long and beneficial (400) life.
