It has been known that there is significant variations within individuals over short periods
of time on a wide variety of constructs of interest to organizational researchers.
those include thoughts and emotions along with job satisfaction, dreams, recovery,
moods, feelings, and intrinsic motivation, behaviors , consequences and overall
performance1. According to this knowledge, the need for studying and reporting this
behavioral variations is triggered. Experience Sampling Method is a research procedure
for gathering these information about the individuals during the everyday life using
different methods and meduims.
These methods are starting from the simpleset ways using paper-pen form reports which
has some limitations regarding data entery and real-time feedback.
Other tools are PDAs, pagers, programmed alarm watches, personal computers, emails
and cell phones2.
The methods and tools used for conducting Experience Sampling Method are divergent
according to the research type and participants abilities.
