Business Excellence is defined as the best practices in managing and achieving results in any organization, which are based on a set of concepts and values. These practices grown into models of how a global organization works. These models have been advanced and continue to progress through study of practices and appraise best performance in organizations worldwide. On the other hand, Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management method to continuous success based on client satisfaction. This is done by connecting all the employees of organization to contribute in improving processes, products, services, and culture. TQM is the development of quality concept. It has begun with inspections, statistical sample and attention of organizational quality and has progressed to an explicit quality by the customer. Through the application of TQM concepts in firms, many of them have become effective and have taken the lead in their industries. As a result of this success researchers have been interested in the particular practices of TQM applied in these successful organizations. They began to study these successful organizations and came up with the best practices that made them successful. Best practices are the concept of business excellence. In conclusion, TQM is the approach while business excellence is the successful application and implementation of TQM in practice.
