Asthma is a common chronic respiratory disease consisting of three major elements inflammation, airway irritability and airway constriction that cause difficulty in breathing. For the patients suffering from asthma, it is obligatory to treat all components of the disease to accomplish the most favourable asthma control and to inhibit the symptoms includes wheezing, coughing, tightness of chest and breath shortness (Cold et al., 2018). Salbutamol sulfate such as short-acting ?2-adnenergic agonist (SABAs) belongs to a class of drug known as bronchodilators and is efficacious in the management of respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. Salbutamol is a ?2-adnenergic agonist, it works by binding to the ?2-adnenergic receptors in the lungs that results in relaxation of bronchial airway smooth muscle and increases the airflow by following the adenyl cyclase activation which gives increase in cyclic AMP to initiate the functional antagonism of bronchoconstriction and allows the expeditious aid of severe asthma symptoms (“Salbutamol – DrugBank”, 2018).
