bright invisible green

life/universe/garden

Bienvenidos

What a difference a year makes. After three years of drought conditions, the rain has returned to Austin in the summer of 2007. Some might say it's a little more than we need, but I beg to differ. Experience makes us wish we had a 1,000 gallon cistern to collect the present bounty. Why is conservation only for lean times? Nature responds to the lows and highs differently every year. This year many of the agaves around town decided that there was sufficient water to spend some energy on blooming. The result in our yard is a 20+ foot stalk towering on the corner. More, please.

About

Bright invisible green is... science, nature, gardening and photography. And the universe and everything. It's also a small online portfolio. Or rather, it will someday be all of these things.
